It’s been a long road getting here. A long and difficult one for sure, and I was once in a dark place mentally. And, although I’d rather not return there, it is an important part of my life and learning experience. What I’ve learned and how I’ve grown is irreplaceable because the struggle gave me more than what it took away. I haven’t reached nirvana or self-actualization, if I ever will, but I am in a spot where I find contentment in my life and the struggles that come with it. I’ll continue to groan, I’ll continue to cry, I’ll continue to scream in frustration, but that’s ok. Let’s just do our best with life and treasure those specks of happiness in between.
